PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of users, and reduce control work to rental items. SOLUTION: The user 5 parks a vehicle in a parking space, and inputs the telephone number of a portable telephone and a password through an operation panel of a parking meter 1. The parking meter 1 registers the inputted telephone number and password, and starts counting (subtraction) of parking time. When there is less parking time left, notice of less parking time left is given to the portable telephone of the user 5 through a meter control company 2. The user 5 is thus capable of recognizing that less parking time is left by the portable telephone even when the user is away from the parking space. The user 5 can make a call to the meter control company 2 by the portable telephone, and make specified operation following announcement to extend parking time. |
