PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a LAN controller where a plurality of communication lines can be used by one IRQ and high speed data transfer can be performed in 'Ethernet' (trademark). SOLUTION: The LAN controller for connecting LAN and host PC is provided with a plurality of LAN control parts monitoring the transmission state of a transmission frame on a transmission medium and detecting data on a MAC address stored in a reception frame, a BUS control part transmitting data which is transmission-requested from the host personal computer to a plurality of LAN control parts, extracting information data from the frame received in the LAN control part and transmitting it to the host personal computer and a concentrating means collecting a plurality of LAN control parts by one interface and connecting it to a local area network so that they are installed on one LAN board.
