PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical recording medium in which the warpage of a substrate is prevented before and after laminating when forming a light transmission layer on a disk substrate by laminating, the change of a skew is suppressed, which is thinned, has the light transmission layer with small birefringence, good transparency, uniform thickness, can sufficiently correspond to the improvement in NA of an object lens, and high-reliability. SOLUTION: A sheet 4 is flatly placed on the sheet placing surface 11a of a fixed stage 11 in such a manner that the first protective film 4a side of the sheet 4 is sucked with vacuum. One principal surface of the disk substrate 1 is laminated to a surface at the side of the adhesive layer 2b of the sheet 4 by pressing another principal surface of the disk substrate 1 by a movable stage 12 consisting of a metal plate, while keeping a highly parallel state with each other. Furthermore, the laminating is performed in a vacuum.
