PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document input/output device capable of reprocessing a document by changing processing conditions during storage in accordance with a situation. SOLUTION: When a processing condition exists in the reprocessing, the processing condition is read (step 102), and when the processing condition does not exist, one item of the processing condition is read (step 104) after reading the processing condition of initial setting (step 103). Next, individual performable items of the read processing condition are read (step 104 and 105), the checking all of the items is finished, it is subsequently decided whether reprocessing can be performed with the checked processing condition, and when the reprocessing can be performed (Y in step 108), the reprocessing is started (step 110) and carried out. If the processing condition is changed and an update request is received (Y in step 111), the processing condition is updated (step 112) and the reprocessing is finished, and unless the update request is received (N in step 111), the reprocessing is finished as it is.
