PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create the three-dimensional shape data of a subject from images taken with a camera, thereby creating a three-dimensional shape model of an object. SOLUTION: This object shape model creating device inputs right and left images, measures three-dimensional position data through stereoscopic measurements for each model measuring point set in the range of model measurement, and constitutes a three-dimensional shape model of the object as an assembly of model component points having the three-dimensional position data. The device has a man-machine interface function for setting camera data such as the position and attitude of the camera, the focal distance of a lens, and CCD size.
