<p>A tool for cutting sheet metal into long strips has a blade (3) fixed by screws (4) in a slot in a support block (5). The block is guided by two sets of rollers (6, 9) with axes arrange horizontally and vertically respectively. These rollers run in a groove in guide rails mounted underneath the table (1) which supports the metal sheet (2). The block is driven by a roller chain (10) so that the blade cuts through the sheet and produces a narrow strip of swarf (2') with a width equal to that of the blade, and which passes downwards through a hole in the block.</p> |
