PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an EL element capable of simultaneously improving patterning performance and a light emitting characteristic in the EL element using a photocatalyst. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the EL element is composed of at least a process of forming a first electrode, a process of forming a photocatalyst layer on the first electrode, a process of forming a photolytic organic layer on the photocatalyst layer, a process of forming a pattern by performing a pattern exposure on the photolytic organic layer, a process of forming at east one layer of an EL layer by sticking and hardening an EL layer forming liquid to and in an exposure part, and a process of forming a second electrode on the EL layer.
