PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing information capable of showing the information which is interested by individual viewers as related information of a digital broadcasting program. SOLUTION: The method for providing the related information 55 of the digital broadcasting program to a receiving terminal 40 from a server side 10 comprises the steps of providing the related information for the receiving terminal side without selecting or discarding the related information according to information contents at the server side, selecting the related information based on user's taste information 5 at the receiving terminal side, and setting displayable time zone 52 of the selected related information by considering the taste information. The server side can provide many pieces of the related information without selecting and discarding the related information. The viewer can observe the related information matching to the own taste.
