<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-shaped portable telephone set which is furthermore thinned by avoiding a complicated structure of placing a magnetic plate and its fixing jigs in a space inside a housing case while the communication quality is enhanced by improving radiation efficiency during the call of the portable telephone set. SOLUTION: This portable telephone comprises at least an antenna for mainly transmitting and receiving a radio wave for communicating with a base station, a printed board on which a metal face is formed as a board ground for the antenna and on which electronic components are mounted, a power feeder for feeding power to the antenna as well as to the metal face, a magnetic plate made of a magnetic material and accommodated inside the housing case for increasing the amount of the radio-wave in free space during the call, and the housing case that accommodates in its inside the printed board, the power feeder, and the magnetic plate. The printed board is of a multilayer structure, and the magnetic plate is embedded in a part or whole of the space between two internal layers that are apart from the board ground and opposite to the side where the antenna is arranged.</p> |
