PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device causing no change of chromaticity even if an angle of visibility changes, and reducing a color mixture by parallax, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This organic EL display device includes first and second electrodes 11 and 12 impressed with voltage, a conductive color converting layer 14 electrically connectable to the first electrode 11, and an organic light emitting medium 15 arranged between the second electrode 12 and the color converting layer 14. When impressing the voltage between the first and second electrodes 11 and 12, an electric field is generated between the color converting layer 14 electrically connected to the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 12. Thus, the organic light emitting medium 15 existing between the second electrode 12 and the color converting layer 14 emits the light. Since there is no light interference between the first and second electrodes 11 and 12, even if the angle of visibility changes, the chromaticity is little changed. Since the color converting layer 14 and the organic light emitting medium 15 are arranged in contact with each other, the color mixture by the parallax is reduced.
