PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sealing characteristic and reduce operating force required for connecting a connector. SOLUTION: The connector 10 having a buttingly sealing structure is constituted to have groove parts 12d formed around male terminals 3, passing through a housing 12 and opening in the bottom face S2 of a fitting recessed part 12a, and sealing members 13 comprising substantially planar, soft, and elastic bodies and formed on the bottom face S2 to cover it, so that sealing is achieved by butting the opposed end face thereof, when the connector is connected.
