摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording device which is capable of regulating the intensity of a laser beam with high accuracy in recording data and a recording method for the same. SOLUTION: Since the track under recording and the unrecorded segment of track on the outer side thereof are irradiated with the front side beam, the return light (reflected light) thereof does not receive the influence of diffraction by recording pits. On the other hand, the track under recording and the already recorded segment of the track on the inner side thereof are irradiated with the rear side beam and therefore the return light thereof receives the influence of the diffraction by the recording pits. The magnitude of the influence of the diffraction by the recording pits on the return light of the rear side beam relates strongly with the ways how the recording bits are formed, i.e., the recording state. If therefore the correlation between the βvalue and intensity ratio F1/B1 of the optical disk is obtained before recording of the data, the recording of the data under the most adequate conditions is eventually obtained by controlling the output of the laser beam in a manner as to obtain the intensity ratio F1/B1 at which the β value attains the value within the prescribed range.
