PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that uses a remote controller to control devices connected to a network with almost similar operations to those of an existing remote controller through ease of realization. SOLUTION: In the system comprising the remote controller 100 and a converter 200 controlling devices connected to a network, the remote controller 100 is provided with a means that stores unchanged identifiers specific to devices and a means that transmits control request data including the identifier specific to the device and a control code through the operation of a user, and the converter 200 is provided with a means that converts the control code included in the control request data into data suitable for a protocol to control the devices connected to the network when receiving the control request data sent from the remote controller 100 and a means that transmits the data converted by the above means to the device corresponding to the identifier specific to the device included in the control request data.
