PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head mounted video and audio reproduction system by which high-quality sound can be heard and also video can be observed simply as needed. SOLUTION: In the head mounted video and audio reproduction system, a video reproduction unit 3 provided with a function for reproducing the video, a battery unit 2 provided with a function for supplying a power source and a protection cover 4 can be freely detachably connected to a system body unit 1 provided with a headphone function for reproducing sound in the state of being mounted to a head. The system can be used in the form of using the unit 1 singly, the form of using only one of a casing for a left ear 1L and a casing for a right ear 1R of the unit 1 connected with the unit 3 or the form of using one of the casings for the left ear 1L and the right ear 1R connected with the unit 3 and the other casing connected with the unit 2.
