PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boosting unit that converts direct-current power generated by an independent direct-current power supply, such as a solar cell, into direct-current power adapted to an inverter device for supply power to an alternating-current load or a commercial electric power system, wherein the operability of a parallel-off means for an input connection between the boosting unit and the direct-current power supply is enhanced, the input connection parallel-off means is prevented from being slashed with rainwater, and the operation of the input connection parallel-off means is facilitated even at elevated temperatures. SOLUTION: An enclosure 12 for housing the boosting unit is made of a box-shaped metal material, and comprises a body 12a and a cover 12b for covering the body. An external operating portion 13 is formed at the lower part of the outside of the body 12a. The external operating portion 13 is provided for operating the input connection parallel-off means from outside the enclosure 12.
