PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer driver disseminating system enabling a user to simply install a printer driver optimum to his printer. SOLUTION: The printer driver disseminating system comprises the printer 10 having a nonvolatile memory device 12 storing the machine model identification information, PDL(page description language) identification information, and a URL(uniform resource locator) capable of interpreting the PDLs of a plurality of kinds, a host computer 20 acquiring the machine model identification information, PDL identification information and the URL from the printer 10 and outputting a download request of the contents corresponding to the acquired information to a server device 30, and the server device 30 specifying the optimum printer driver 35 to operate the printer 10 of the machine model identified by the obtained machine model identification information with the PDL identified by the obtained PDL identification information and returning the download page data 36 to download the printer driver 35. |
