PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system that preclude an illegal operation by a 3rd party when a network is utilized to remotely control a device to be controlled. SOLUTION: When a communication terminal 2 remotely controls a device C to be controlled via a network 1, the system provided with a management device 4 provides a local address not recognized by the network 1 to the device C to be controlled to configure a local network. Then a center server unit 3 once stores a remote control command entered from the communication terminal 2. The management device 4 periodically makes a communication connection to the center server unit 3 to transmit the operating state of the device C to be controlled to the center server unit 3, acquires the remote control command stored in the center server at communication connection to control the device C to be controlled so as to match with the remote control command.
