PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector, capable of suitably connecting or disconnecting an electric wire to or from an electronic component by attaching or detaching a plug contact. SOLUTION: This electrical connector is composed of a housing 10 made from an insulation block body; a contact 20 housed in the housing 10 and whose at least tip connecting part 22 is projected into a contact chamber R of the housing 10; an electric wire fixing hole 11 perforated in a housing 10 part in the side vicinity of the contact 20 and crossing perpendicularly to the shaft line of the contact 20 and communicating with the contact chamber R; a metal plate, and an attachable/detachable plug contact 30 coming into contact with a tip connecting part 22 of the contact 20 at one part of the tip and having a knife groove 32 to be brought into contact with a conductor of an electric wire inserted into the electric wire fixing hole 11, by biting into the cover part, which is formed in the side part on the opposite side to one part of the tip. By attaching or detaching the plug contact, simple and quickly connection or separation becomes possible.
