PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the output of a fuel cell stack in a wide range without controlling it in a complicated way. SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is realized by providing a fuel cell stack 1, an air supply passage L3 to supply a prescribed flow of an oxidizer gas to the fuel cell stack 1 in accordance with the power generating condition of the fuel cell stack 1, a hydrogen supply passage L1 to supply a prescribed flow of a fuel gas to the fuel cell stack 1 in accordance with the power generating condition of the fuel cell stack 1, at least two first hydrogen pressure adjusting valves 3, 4 disposed parallel to the hydrogen supply passage L1 to adjust the pressure of the fuel gas to supply to the fuel cell stack 1, a hydrogen circulating passage L2 to circulate the fuel gas to the fuel cell stack 1, a water reservoir 12 to collect moisture contained in the exhaust of the oxidizer electrode and the fuel electrode of the fuel cell stack 1, a water circulating passage L4 to supply water collected by the water reservoir 12 to the fuel cell stack 1, and a control unit 20 to control the opening and closing of the hydrogen pressure adjusting valves 3, 4 in accordance with a requirement for acceleration. |
