PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information necessary for converting the position and attitude of a sensor in a sensor coordinate system into that of a target to be measured in a worldwide coordinate system. SOLUTION: Calibration is made by transferring the position and attitude MVW of an HMD210L-loaded player's view point 1901 to a predetermined position and attitude M0VW, and acquiring the output M0ST of a position and attitude measurement part 5000 at the point. The player or an operator not illustrated use an indicator 5090L to input that the view point 1901 is positioned at the position and attitude M0VW. A calibrator 5055L inputs the output M0ST, the position and attitude measurement part 5000 at the point (i.e., at the point where the view point 1901 is positioned at the position and attitude M0VW) in accordance with the input to the indicator 5090L, and calculates the unknown value of either from calibration data MVS or MTW based on the position and attitude M0VW and M0ST. The value is then outputted to a calibration data storage part 5080L. |
