PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents distribution system that makes more efficient an advertisement propaganda activity of a contents provider. SOLUTION: The contents distribution system is provided with a base station 2 that makes transmission reception to a mobile terminal 1, a communication controller 3 that controls the communication of the mobile terminal 1 and a storage device 4. Then the storage device 4 stores the contents and contents providing position information corresponding to the contents. The communication controller 3 has a terminal position recognition function to recognize a position of the mobile terminal 1, a terminal position registration function that registers the terminal position information to the storage device 4, a terminal position check function that checks whether or not the mobile terminal 1 is resident at a position denoted by the contents providing position information on the basis of the terminal position information and the contents providing position information, and a contents distribution function that distributes prescribed contents to the mobile terminal 1 via the prescribed base station 2 when the mobile terminal 1 stays at the position denoted by the contents providing position information.
