PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for calculating inventory days by which proper inventory volume is secured corresponding to the change in an order receiving form and a market. SOLUTION: Sales plan data 22 is calculated from order backlog data 20 and sales forecast data 21. Corrected actual sales figure data 11 is calculated by correcting actual sales figure data 9 by an actual sales figure correction coefficient and a seasonal variation coefficient. Weighed sales average data 23 is calculated by performing weighting by a prescribed function by using the sales plan data 22 and the corrected actual sales figure data 11. The inventory days are calculated based on the weighed sales average data 23.
