PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the response speed to a verification request for certificate, and efficiently secure a storing region for information related to the legality of certificate. SOLUTION: A module 12 for creating a certificate effective range in an authentication station 1 periodically creates effective range data indicating the range of issue numbers of the certificates in an effective period. A module 21 for creating a certificate verifying table in a certificate verifying apparatus 2 periodically secures in a storing device 22 a table region for storing all legality verifying results of the certificates in the effective period based on the effective range data 4, verifies the legalities of the certificates in the effective period, and creates a certificate verifying table by recording the verifying results in the table region. A certificate verifying module 23 in the certificate verifying apparatus 2, when verification of a certificate is requested from a terminal 3, refers to a location on the certificate verifying table corresponding to the issue number of the certificate, and responds to the terminal 3 based on the referring result. |
