PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable vehicle speed type receiving device for VICS radio beacon and receiving method therefor capable of eliminating an erroneous receipt even in the change of road state to precisely receive a VICS radio beacon signal. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a vehicle speed information part 9 and a memory part 12 for storing signal levels preset according to vehicle speed. In the receipt of the VICS radio beacon signal, the received VICS radio beacon signal is judged to be effective when its level is an effective signal level corresponding to the vehicle speed in the receipt from the vehicle speed information part 9 or more to output the received VICS data, and when the level is less than the effective signal level, it is judged to be invalid, and the received VICS data are not outputted. |
