PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment in which a stable antenna characteristic can be always maintained including a state in which a cover body is closed by avoiding an unstable state in which an antenna characteristic changes too remarkably to maintain normal transmitting and receiving operations due to the turning condition of a display part housing body in the case of including an antenna element in the display part housing body to be the cover body provided in a palm rest housing body in a freely turnable way and to provide an antenna mounting method. SOLUTION: The peripheral parts of the antenna element 22 of the display part housing body 20 forming the cover body and the palm rest part of a palm rest side housing body 10 where the antenna element 22 approaches when the display part housing body 20 is closed are made to be a nonconductive body housing structure, and the distance between the antenna element 22 and an electrical conductor member is made away equally to or more than a fixed distance regardless of the change of the opening/closing position states between the display part housing body 20 including the antenna element 22 and the palm rest side housing part 10 so that a stable antenna characteristic can be always maintained.
