PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing system equipped with a function for allowing a storage service provider who provides the function of a storage system to many and unspecified users to properly provide the service functions to the users. SOLUTION: The storage system is provided with a mechanism for checking the number of users who are able to use respective service functions and the sizes of the occupancy data areas of the users who use the service function as for the service function to be provided from a storage service provider to the respective users who receive the utilization service of a storage resource.
