<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording/playback device capable of informing that the number of times for rewriting a flash memory achieves a warranty limit without an indicating means, in the information recording/playback device provided with a semiconductor memory capable of being electrically rewritten such as the flash memory, and using especially an optical disc as a recording medium. SOLUTION: When the data of the flash memory 11 is updated, the number of times for rewriting at that time and the rewriting warranty limit are compared with each other. A position of a tray 8 carrying the optical disc is controlled according to a compared result. When the number of times for rewriting at that time coincides with the rewriting warranty limit, the tray 8 is stopped in a middle position between the inside and the outside of a device main body.</p> |
