PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the discharge speed of a nozzle for continuously quenching a lot of molten alloy and prevent the nozzle from clogging in a method of manufacturing a rare-earth magnet, comprising a step of discharging the molten alloy from the nozzle to collide against a chilled base for obtaining a quenched alloy, thereby obtaining a high-characteristic rare-earth magnet and improving the productivity of the rare-earth magnet. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a rare-earth magnet has a quenching step of discharging the molten alloy containing a rare-earth element from a nozzle to collide against the chilled base for obtaining the quenched alloy. After holding the molten alloy at a temperature not lower than the alloy's melting point Tmp plus 180 deg.C, the molten alloy is discharged from the nozzle. |
