SOLUTION: When binding margins are generated to print many picture data obtained by reading pictures of documents, a binding margin 43 is generated in a position designated in accordance with the picture direction to form an image with respect to picture data of the first document 41. A binding margin is generated in the main scanning direction or the subscanning direction congruous with the binding margin 43 of the first picture with respect to pictures of the second and following documents, and lengths of the binding margin 43 of the first picture and binding margins of the second and following pictures are automatically equalized.
