PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate and handle name solutions to contents in different places. SOLUTION: An URI of a desired content is input at S1, and the input URI is read and appropriate solution executing parts are selected at S3. A plurality of the solution executing parts respectively performs processes in parallel. A name solution is performed by referring to a correspondence table providing correspondence between an identification name of the content and a file name in a storing device at S4. A name solution is performed by referring to table data for name solution transmitted by a MPEG2 section table such as a satellite broadcast or the like at S6. A name solution is performed by communicating with a name solution service on a network such as a DNS at S8. When processes of the name solutions by all methods are finished, an acquired location list L is sent to a content acquiring part. The content acquiring part refers to the list L and acquires the content specified by the URI.
