PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that when a CMOS image sensor is applied to a camera system mounting a conventional film photography function and an electronic exposure function, a driving part of an area sensor is formed in a chip, it is needed to set a value in a control register from the outside and image data fetched during exchange of the register becomes unstable in image signals, so that the data is not usable. SOLUTION: In this camera system, exposure is carried out corresponding not only to the provision of the register to adjust exposure time (photographing time) of an area sensor 21 of the CMOS image sensor, but also to imaging conditions with the clock signal supplied from the outside as the reference, so that the setting range of the exposure conditions is expanded, the speed of the supplied clock in a frame where an exposure operation is not executed is accelerated to shorten the time by finishing the frame quickly, and the starting time of the frame to execute the exposure is advanced, thus improving the processing speed. |
