摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure device and an exposure method for forming the fluorescent face of a color picture tube capable of surely improving the deterioration of a white uniformity and brightness characteristics particularly in a highly accurate color picture tube formed in flat and wide angle with a simple structure and without sacrificing a working efficiency by solving such problems that the unbalance of light beam volume distribution at the horizontal axis ends and diagonal axis ends occurs in the lateral direction when a photosensitive layer corresponding to a side beam is exposed to form the fluorescent face of the color picture tube and a uniform exposure is not performed. SOLUTION: A lamp house 16 is selectively and movably installed parallel to a face plate 13 installed in the exposure device, and ultra violet of a mercury lamp 23 forming the lamp house 16 is radiated through a slit 25 formed in a light shielding plate 26. The light shielding plate 26 is formed so as to be moved by a drive device 28 in the longitudinal direction of the mercury lamp 23 independently of the lamp house 16.
