PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating thermal circuit network data capable of performing thermal analysis calculation in a practical scale by introducing an algorithm such as quarter tree area division to area division targeting a multiple component connection structure. SOLUTION: At the time of performing thermal analysis targeting a multiple component connection structure, quarter tree area division or octant tree area division is operated according to the density of nodes whose positions are specified according to the structure, and a node is arranged at the center of the divided areas, and nodes are decided by using approximation to the nodes whose density is specified according to the structure. At the time of performing area sub-division for assigning small areas only to the specified nodes, areas and nodes are decided by using voronoi area division, and thermal circuit network data are generated among the nodes. At the time of considering a wiring pattern, the area is sub-divided according to the density of the wiring patterns, and an equivalent thermal resistance in the small areas is calculated based on the wiring pattern quantity passing through the sub-divided small areas, and thermal circuit network data are generated as the parallel sum of the equivalent thermal resistance and an inter-small area thermal resistance.
