PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method and calculation device that obtains a correction parameter for distortion correction by each lens. SOLUTION: A plurality of points to identify coordinate positions are placed on a plane of a standard sample 10 in different colors that is picked up by an image pickup section 11 having a wide angle lens 14 and a distortion analysis section 16 calculates the correction parameter that is used to analyze distortion of an image caused by a lens characteristic by referring to the points coordinates on the image picked up by the image pickup section 11 with the point coordinates on the standard sample 10 and to correct/convert the distorted image into a normal image.
