PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently support monitoring of network maintenance such as specifying work of a fault portion or a fault cause to a fault notice detected by a monitoring system of a network in a plurality of sites regardless of differences in experience and knowledge of monitoring personnel. SOLUTION: Each site monitoring device of a site wherein a network system is operated operates a processing program sending fault information to a center monitoring device, and when a fault occurs, it sends the notice of a fault occurrence and detailed information of the fault. The center monitoring device of a center requests for the detailed information of the fault when it is determined to be necessary. In a center monitoring device side, fault information sent from the site monitoring device such as a fault portion example corresponding to a fault message is retrieved, and it is displayed in a console screen operated by a watcher. Failure information regarding the fault is stored in a fault history DB.
