PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech unit for a portable phone such as a speech unit in common use for a neck type strap and a compact speech unit by which a user talks in a small voice without troubling surrounding people in the speech of the portable phone, a speech opposite party can sharply hear the speech so as to aim at improvement of the manner in the case of using the portable phone, prevent leakage of secrecy, and a speech in a sharp voice or the like. SOLUTION: A hollow tube 1 is adopted for a cord of a conventional neck strap, a reception section 2 that is a cover to cover a transmission hole 7 of the portable phone is provided to one end of the tube 1, a transmission section 4 of a funnel shaped cover acting like a transmission port is provided to the other end, and a suspending fixture 5 of the portable phone 6 is provided at a left right crossing position of the tube 1 as a basic configuration.
