Probe suitable for use in neural tissue

A probe is disclosed, the probe comprising at least one shaft and at least one contact pad. Each shaft is suitable for insertion into neural tissue and has a number of electrodes. Each contact pad is in electrical contact with a set of the electrodes and at least one electrode is at least partially covered by an electrically insulating layer. Furthermore a manufacturing process for such a probe is disclosed.
