PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of adjusting the assembly length of a hoisting rope hoisting a car and a counterweight. SOLUTION: When elongation is generated in the hoisting rope 4, and the counterweight 7 is lowered below the predetermined position, a counterweight sensor 21 detects the lowering of the counterweight 7, and outputs the detection signal to a control means 20. The control means 20 rotates a winding sheave by using the electric motor of a winding means 10, and winds the hoisting rope 4 to reduce the assembly length of the hoisting rope 4. The influence of the elongation generated in the hoisting rope 4 is eliminated, and a work for returning the value of the dimension C in the vertical direction between the counterweight 7 and a buffer device 9 to a predetermined value can be efficiently and safely performed. |
