PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tread for radial carcass tire, which is attached to a drive axle of heavy vehicle so that the difference of abrasion between the front edge part and the rear edge part is decreased without lowering the abrasion life performance. SOLUTION: A tread (1) is provided with a plurality of blocs (3) demarcated by general orientation in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction. Each bloc has a contact side (6) and lateral side, and the tread (1) is provided with a plurality of tread pattern blocs (2), and intersection of each lateral side and the contact side (6) form a ridge line. The ridge first makes contact to form an element front edge part (9), the lateral side intersects the contact side along the front edge part to make an front edge part, and a plurality of blocs has an edge side with a taper angle of at most 5 deg.. A plurality of pits having an opening directed to the contact face (6) is provided on each block (3) in the tread. |
