FALSE-TWIST YARN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false-twist yarn having excellent stretchability and texture compared with conventional polytrimethylene terephthalate multifilament false-twist yarn and suitable for knit and woven fabric and provide a method for producing the yarn. SOLUTION: The false-twist yarn is made of a polytrimethylene terephthalate multifilament and has a stretch recovery of >=45%, a yarn elongation of >=25% and <=45% and a dry heat shrinkage of >=5% and <=20%. The yarn can be produced by preparatorily drawing a yarn at a yarn temperature of 45-145 deg.C before false twisting and successively false-twisting the predrawn yarn at a total draw ratio of 1.0-1.6.
