PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path forming unit and a method for producing optical path forming unit which is excellent in assembling workability in the assembling thereof into a scanner device. SOLUTION: This optical path forming unit 4 which is used for the scanner device having a line sensor 6 for reading a picture of negative film F which is developed is provided with a circular incident port through which the light from a halogen lamp 3 for irradiating the negative film F therewith is made incident, a linear outgoing port through which the light is emitted toward the negative film F, an optical fiber group which forms the optical path between the incident port and the outgoing port, a first metallic part 40 for fixture which fixes the incident port side of the optical fiber group and a second metallic part 42 for fixture which fixes the outgoing port side of the optical fiber group.
