PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the uneven luminance of an object to be projected on a screen while securing the illuminance of a critical illumination method. SOLUTION: A 1st image-formation means 2, the object 5 and a projection lens 6 are disposed on an optical axis, and 2nd image-formation means 3 and 4 by which light passing through the 1st image-formation means is formed into an image near the entrance pupil position P of the projection lens are disposed just before the object. By setting a concave lens 3 as the 2nd image- formation means and disposing the object at the focus of the 1st image- formation means, the light reaches the 2nd image-formation means in a state where the illuminance is high, and is formed into the image near the entrance pupil position of the projection lens by the 2nd image-formation means, whereby the uneven illuminance on the screen is restrained because a light source image is infinity even though the illuminance of the object projected on the screen 7 is extremely high.
