PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent production of burrs and to manufacture a high-quality optical module without damaging a ferrule. SOLUTION: A buffer member 30 to absorb misalignment of a ferrule 10 and to eliminate the gap between the ferrule 10 and a die 2 is attached to at least one of the ferrule 10 or the die 2 for the ferrule 10 where an optical fiber is inserted and fixed. Then the ferrule 10 is pinched by the die 2 and sealed with resin.
