PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure unit using a compression member having elasticity or reversible flexibility for receiving relative motion between structure bodies such as adjacent concrete structural bodies. SOLUTION: This heat insulating structure unit is constructed of an insulator 2 having at least the built-in compression member 3 arranged between two structural bodies A and B. The compression member is horizontally extended in the transverse direction to the horizontal longitudinal direction of the insulator through the insulator and abutted on the respective structural bodies. The compression member has contact faces 5 and 6 rolling on the structural bodies and forms an articulate joint structure between both the structural bodies.
