PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water saving piece being capable of being purified even by hot water and having a water-quantity control function. SOLUTION: The water saving piece 1 is composed of a mutually screw- connected first member 2 and a second member 3. The first member 2 consists of a metal or a synthetic resin, a flange 2a is formed at an upper end while a female screw 2b is formed to an inner circumference on the lower end side, and an inflow passage 2c is penetrated at a center in the axial direction. The second member 3 is composed of white coal, and a male screw 3a screwed to the female screw 2b is formed to an outer circumference on the upper end side while a detention section 3b and an outflow passage 3c are formed on the inside. The detention section 3b has a shape that its inside diameter is larger than that of the inflow passage 2c of the first member 2 and the outflow passage 3c has a shape that its inside diameter is smaller than that of the inflow passage 2c. The water saving piece 1 can be mounted even on a composition faucet by installing the second member 3 having a water purifying function to the disk 1. Accordingly, it can be purified by hot water and water can be saved.
