PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate stopper wherein a glass substrate can be safely protected during transportation or handling even if external force such as a vibration or drop impact is applied, the cushion is well adapted to automatically insert and remove the glass substrate, the glass substrate cushion can be prevented from deforming to keep a shape retention property, wherein the cushion does not readily generate dust even in slide contact with the glass substrate, is excellent in durability and can be repetitively used, and wherein the glass substrate is prevented from removing from a groove when the substrate is fastened by a tape or the like when packed. SOLUTION: The glass substrate stopper comprises a hollow structure made of a blow-molded thermoplastic resin, which has a hollow section inside and a front wall and a rear wall integrated with each other while peripheries of both walls are closed by wall ends. A cross section of the structure exhibits an approximate L-shape, wherein a ratio of two sides of the approximate L-shape is 1.0 to 3.0 with a shorter side as a reference. Glass substrate receiving grooves are formed with a width of 1.0 to 4.0 times a glass substrate thickness and a depth of 3 to 15 mm at a groove pitch of 6 to 100 mm along the approximate L-shape on the front wall which constitutes the interior of the approximate L-shape. |
