PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation method for carbon monoxide which is extremely advantageous from the viewpoint of a catalyst cost, because carbon monoxide can be oxidized at a lower reaction temperature by a smaller amount of catalyst when using a catalyst having high catalyst activity, where the method is to oxidize carbon monoxide in a gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen chloride by using a gas containing oxygen. SOLUTION: This method is to oxidize carbon monoxide in the gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen chloride by using the gas containing oxygen and a catalyst containing rutheniun complex oxide as the catalyst. |
