PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device, which detects a page, the data amount in one page of which becomes smaller due to page feed unintended by a user, so as to prevent an output in the form unintended by the user from developing. SOLUTION: The image output device 10 is connected with a network NW, to which a plurality of host computers so as to receive document data from the host computer in order to develop the data into dot image data per page in a page memory 14 so as to be once stored in an image data storage part 18. After that storage, when the dot image data are recordingly outputted on a recording paper, whether the data amount per one page of the dot image data developed per page is smaller than the predetermined amount or not is detected. When the data amount per one page is short of the predetermined amount, the shortage is informed to the host computer, which has sent the document data. Accordingly, the page, the data amount of which has become smaller due to page feed unintended by the user, is detected, resulting in allowing to prevent the output in the shape, in which the page feed unintended by the user is included, from being issued. |
