PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw mechanism which can be used in a driving part of a servo press and injection molding machine, having high efficiency, being excellent in load-carrying capacity, and having long operating life. SOLUTION: Both a screw shaft and a nut are provided with a multi-threaded ball screw part and a multi-threaded trapezoidal screw part. The clearance in the trapezoidal screw part is set to be less than the clearance in the ball screw part in order to subject only the trapezoidal screw part to bear a load.
