A bearing arrangement comprises two plates 1, 2 formed with races 6, 10 and having plane circular central portions 7, 12 secured together, a castor wheel fork 3 having a flange 8 formed with intermediate races. In Fig. 2 pin 9 secures plates 1, 2 together and is rotatably adjustable in sleeve 13 to take up wear in the bearings. In Figs. 3-6 (not shown), a resilient washer (17) is positioned between plates 1, 2 and wear is taken up by adjustment of screws (16), A sealing ring (42) has spacers (22, Fig. 5, not shown), between arcuate slots (21) for guiding sets of balls (19). A further sealing ring (25) with ball spacers (26) is provided. In Fig. 1 (not shown), races 6, 10 are of the same diameter. Upper plate 1 of Fig. 1 (not shown), has slots 5 to prevent deformation of race 6 on mounting of the plate. |
